Pastor's Wife
Pam Bowman
Deaconess Lady Pamela F. Bowman is a native of South Carolina. She was raised by God-fearing grandparents, the late Deacon Arthur and Deaconess Jarean F. Smith. Pamela matriculated through the Hampton County (South Carolina) Public Schools. She received her Christian foundation, at an early age, as a member of the Silver Hill Baptist Church, Hampton, SC. There she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.
Pam, as she is fondly called, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from South Carolina State University (SCSU). While attending SCSU, Pam was commissioned through the US Army Reserved Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and faithfully served in the Army for over 28 years, retiring in 2015 as a Lieutenant Colonel. During her time in the military, Pam also earned a Master of Arts Degree from Central Michigan University. On May 14, 2022, Pam earned her Master of Arts in Christian Care (Magna Cum Laude) from Capital Seminary & Graduate School, Lancaster Bible College, Washington, D.C. Praise the Lord!
In her early years of ministry, Pam served in the Ushers Ministry, was a children’s Bible teacher, and lifted up her voice as a choir member. Most recently, Pam was selected as a Deaconess-in-Training, the Co-Leader of the Women’s Ministry, and lifted her voice again as a choir member at Carmody Hills Baptist Church (CHBC), Capitol Heights, MD. Most notably, Pam exercised her gift of hospitality by developing and implementing the first Hospitality & Greeter’s Ministry at CHBC. Pam created a Hospitality Training Manual and facilitated workshops to teach like-minded and gifted disciples how to serve God with excellence! When you see her, she just may smile and ask you the question, “Are you serving God with EXCELLENCE?”
Pamela has been married to “Pastor Q” since November 2008. God ordained their “love at first sight” meeting while both served in the Army, stationed at the Pentagon. They have a lovely, blended family of two daughters, one son and one Yorkie. Pamela is an integral part of Eternal Redeemer Fellowship Church, and serves alongside and under the guidance of her husband. She believes that the key to a fruitful and Christ-centered life is found Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV), “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Pam is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the author of a Christian children’s book, “The Adventures of Pico Paws – Steps of Faith."
