Quint A. Bowman
Pastor Q, as he is fondly called, is the eldest son of the late Deacon Willie Bowman, Jr. (deceased Feb 2010) and Deaconess Alice S. Bowman (deceased Feb 2024). In June 1970, under the leadership of the late Dr. John D. Bussey, he made his confession of faith in Jesus Christ & was baptized at Bethesda Baptist Church (BBC), Washington, DC.
He was educated in the Prince George’s County Public School System, Maryland, and furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Hampton University, Hampton, VA. Upon graduation in 1985, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2009.
He has held several positions in the Kingdom of God, to include Youth Usher, Bible Class Leader, Minister of Music, Worship Leader Minister and most recently, Pastor of Worship & Service and Bible Institute Teacher at Carmody Hills Baptist Church (CHBC), Capitol Heights, MD. In addition, he recently retired (again) as an Investigator, Office of the Naval Inspector General, and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in Inspections & Investigations for the US Army, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the US Navy.
As an accomplished gospel musician, Pastor Q has ministered in music with numerous choirs and musical ensembles over the last 40+ years, to include performances at the Kennedy Center and the Lincoln Theater, Washington, DC. In 2010, he answered the call to the ministry, and was accepted to Capital Bible Seminary, Washington, DC, where he earned his Master of Arts in Ministry, Pastoral Studies (Cum Laude), in 2019. Licensed to preach at BBC in July 2013, ordained as a Baptist minister at CHBC in October 2016, Pastor Q has preached and taught extensively. Pastor Q strives to grow in the Word of God through careful study and application. He is anointed with the gift of exhortation and seeks to share God’s gift of salvation with the world.
He is married to the former US Army, LTC (Retired) Pamela Denise Folk. They have one son and two daughters. He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Since Pastor Q and Lady Pamela moved to Orange Park, FL, in 2019, he has preached at various churches throughout the Jacksonville, FL, area until the Lord moved upon his heart in July 2021 to found/establish Eternal Redeemer Fellowship Church (ERFC).
